Stephen James, founder of ELIJAH

Our Story

Founded by Stephen James in Barcelona in 2018, ELIJAH began with a simple idea: create a place where personal style and good company belong together. Barbering and tattooing were the beginning of a world shaped around individuality, craft and the people who walk through the door.

Barcelona is still at the heart of that story. It is in the character of our spaces, the records playing in the background and the conversations that turn a visit into something more familiar. Our international team brings different experiences and perspectives, with the same attention to the person in the chair. The cuts matter. So do the friendships, the shared moments and the memories made along the way.

Today, that spirit lives across our barbershops, salons, tattoo studio and gym, and in the hair care and fragrances you take home. From a fresh haircut to a training session or a scent that becomes your own, each is another way to make ELIJAH part of your day. Rooted in Barcelona. Open to the world. Always personal.

Different backgrounds. One team.

ELIJAH is shaped by the people in the shop.

Our international team brings different experiences, cultures and ways of seeing things. Barbers, hairdressers and tattoo artists, each with their own style and the same attention to the person in the chair.

Come as you are. Tell us what you have in mind. We’ll take it from there.
